Starting this blog is a scary thought for me. First I tend to have way to much going on and to commit to one more thing just kinda freaks me out. So bear with me as I learn about blogging and I learn to be consistent with blogging. So here we go . . .

First let me introduce myself and the players in my world. My name is Tracy and I am 35 years old, wife to John, Mother to Jessica (18 yo), Joseph (14 yo), and Larissa (7 yo). We have 6 pets (wow how in the hell did we end up with 6? lol) 2 dogs Molly (a lhasa apso) and Polly (a tibetan spaniel), 2 cats Missy and Rosie, a bunny named Emo and 1 gold fish known as Zombie Bob. We live in a very small house of under 1200 sq ft. Everyone does have their own room for some space but we spend a lot of time together.

On top of being a wife and a mother I wear many other hats. I am a special education paraprofessional for my local school district. I consider this my glorified babysitting position as I sit in a truck for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week keeping an eye on special needs students while a driver (in this case Dennis) drives to the different schools that the children attend. I am also a victim advocate for the county that I live in. This means that I am a first responder to folks who are victims of crime (i.e. domestic violence, child abuse, unattended deaths and so on). I act in my local theater company, sing karaoke, am an avid reader, bead, and crochet (just to name a few of my hobbies lol).

So why did I decide to write a blog?? The answer is this I was a teen mom, I have made it through (mostly) raising my oldest, I have two other children that I am still learning with, I have been divorced and remarried. I have learned it is important to continue to have my own identity. I have learned that picking your battles is important when it comes to keeping your sanity. I have learned so many things and yet I know that I have so many more things to learn as I continue my life’s journey. I want to share the places I have been already in this journey and the places I am going. I hope to bring not only serious things to the table but funny things too.  And I hope to let parents know that we are only human and we make mistakes and have faults just like everyone else.

I hope that you will come along on this journey with me. I don't plan on starting at the beginning and moving to the present. I will jump all over the place from the last 18 years *grins*.
